Thank you – see you at the new blog!
Well, hello there!
It feels like it’s been a little while since I was last here – but with good reason, as I’ve been very busy.
I’m very happy to announce that I’ve been working my socks off behind the scenes of Slice of Sunny, and all will be revealed next week.
The site is moving to a new home, and I’ve teamed up with my wonderful design guru colleague Ashika to get a new logo and identity.
I’ve learnt so much over the past few weeks from a range of sources – the most influential being Holly Becker’s decor8 Blogging Your Way online course and attending Blogtacular.
Both of these have provided me with a ridiculous amount of inspiration and, most importantly, a fantastic kick up the bum. So now I’m putting it all into action.
I can’t wait to share the next stage of Slice of Sunny with you all.
Coming up, I’ll be letting you in on everything I got up to over my weekend in Paris, and can you believe it – my Scandinavia trip is coming up so soon!
Until then, make sure to check out my Instagram for a sneak peek of Paris, and follow me over on Twitter to hear first when the new Slice of Sunny is born.
See you next week!
Can we all now agree that Lent is over? Everything I’ve found online about the end date is so conflicting!
Either way, I’m done now, and I would say I’ve been distinctly average at it.
Happy Monday!
I’m very excited that the clocks have changed, and now we get sunlight (or maybe, lighter cloud than at night) in the evening. Soon I’ll be taking part in my most favourite afternoon activity, reading in the garden with a strawberry cider. Aaaahhhh.
In the meantime I’m enjoying what spring has to offer, especially the magnolias.
You hadn’t forgotten, had you? It’s nearly Mother’s Day!
This year, I celebrated Mother’s Day a week early with my mum. We had an action-packed day at the Ideal Home Show in London (more on that soon), and a nice Sunday pub lunch.
As I wasn’t going to be able to take a lovely bunch of flowers the 100 mile journey home with me (not to mention a day spent at Earls Court), I went for something homemade this year: a set of mini pesto sauces.
Happy new year!
I’m going to take this time of new starts to reintroduce myself and this blog, and to explain why I’m here.
I am a summer person.
I need to be warm, and I love to sit out in the garden with a good book and a strawberry cider after work.
But I don’t completely hate winter. There’s always something nice about getting bundled up in a coat, scarf, gloves and hat (if you can risk the hat hair).
Here’s a few nice winter-y type things I’ve found and put together over on my Pinterest:
